Who is a Caterer

A caterer provides prepared food, dessert, beverages, and various other services for events. Catering events may take place at

  • Marriage Halls
  • Banquet facility,
  • a hotel or restaurant, or
  • a customer’s home or other location.

Catering is a Very Popular Business in Pakistan. Mostly caterers not only offer their services to weddings, reception, functions and gatherings but also to day to day customers. Caterers usually make Biryani to their daily customers, this enables them to grab new orders but also to meet their day to day expenses.

Like every business, Caterers are also require to file their yearly tax return with FBR. For smoothly filing your tax return a Caterer must have proper books of accounts or at least having proper / valid expenses slips.

Here is the small list of record that every Caterer should have:

  1. Cooking supplies – Food and ingredients – i.e. raw ingredients, pre-packaged/canned food items, oil, sugar, spices
  2. Transporting items – These transporting items may include containers, platters, plates, bowls, cups, and other necessities.
